Application forms and the R4BP database

If you apply for authorisation according to the Biocidal Products Directive, your application must be entered in the European application system "European Register for Biocidal Products” (abbreviated to R4BP). The database is an administrative database and can be considered as an electronic application form.

The electronic application form contains details about the applicant and the product. The applicant must among other things state the country in which the application for initial product authorisation was filed and the countries in which an application for mutual recognition is to be filed. In addition, applicants must also state the countries in which the product is already on the market. Remember that if a product is to be registered under a number of different names, one application must be entered for each name.

Send the application to the Danish Environmental Protection Agency

When all the required information has been entered, the application form must be printed, signed, and then sent to the Danish Environmental Protection Agency as a hard copy version.

The documentation and other application material must be sent to the Danish Environmental Protection Agency electronically on two CDs, with a signed print-out of the R4BP form and a cover letter.
