Application types and requirements
There are several options for you as a company to obtain authorisation for your plant protection product. To facilitate fast and efficient processing of your applications, it is important that the submitted application, including the associated dossier, is complete and meets the requirements for the specific type of application.
New products
If you wish to apply for an authorisation to place a product on the Danish market, you can find further information regarding applications for new products (zonal or interzonal authorisation) not yet authorised in Denmark using the above link.
Renewals - Article 43
Further information on applications for renewal of authorisations for products currently authorised in Denmark can be found using the above link.
Amendments to product authorisations
If your plant protection product is authorised in Denmark and you want to change its uses or its formulation, you must apply for an amendment of use, a formulation change or addition of a production site for the active substance. Further information on amendments to product authorisations can be found using the above link.
Administrative amendments
If your plant protection product is authorised in Denmark and you want to transfer the authorisation to another company, change the tradename of the product, add a production site for the product, or deregister the product, you must apply for an administrative amendment. Find further information using the above link.
Mutual recognition
Mutual recognition is a simplified authorisation procedure, by which it is possible to apply for authorisation of a product in Denmark, based on the evaluation and authorisation of the exact same product in another EU country. Find further information using the above link
Parallel trade permits
You can apply for a parallel trade permit if you require an authorisation for import of a plant protection product from another EU country that is identical to a product already authorised in Denmark. Find further information using the above link.
Copy authorisations
If you require an extra trade name for a plant protection product already authorised in Denmark, you can apply for copy authorisation. Further information can be found using the above link.
Minor use authorisations
You can apply for an authorisation for minor use of an already authorised plant protection product for e.g. a crop that is not widely grown (i.e. minor crops), if not already covered by the product authorisation. They were formerly called “off-label” authorisations.
Derogations
In special cases, it is possible to apply for a derogation. Further information on how to obtain derogations for non-authorised Plant Protection Products can be found
Experimental testing
It is possible to apply for authorisation to carry out experimental testing for research and development of non-authorised pesticides or for non-authorised crops and/or dose rates. Further information on how to apply for authorisations to carry out experimental testing can be found in the above link.
