Chemical legislation in Denmark consists partly of EU legislation and partly of special Danish rules. Chemical legislation covers, as a starting point, all substances and products marketed in Denmark. Many products are subject to several legislations and several authorities. For example, electronics and toys are subject to both the Danish Environmental Protection Agency and the Safety Agency, as the chemical properties of the products fall under the Environmental Protection Agency, while the mechanical and physical properties of the products fall under the Safety Agency.
