Pesticides (Plant Protection Products)
Legislation on pesticides is extensive, with many requirements for the professional user, importer or distributor. Regulations follow EU legislation and guidelines and ensure that the impact of pesticides on the environment and on human health is kept to a minimum.
Before any pesticide product can be sold and used in Denmark, it must have an authorisation by the Danish EPA.
Your application will be considered under the procedures of the EU Pesticide Regulation.
Annual statistics are produced on the sales of pesticides in Denmark. These include, for example, statistics on sales to farmers.
You can apply for a grant, either for research into plant protection substances, or for the application for approval and authorisation of alternative pesticides.
