EU Environment Action Programme

The Environment Action Programme (EAP) is the framework for the EU's overall environmental policy development. The first Environmental Action Plan was adopted in 1973 and the sixth and current EAP came into force in 2012.

7th EU Environmental Action Programme 
The 7 ^th EAP replaced the 6 ^th , which expired in summer 2012. Here, the "green transition" is a central theme.

6th EU Environmental Action Programme
The 6th Environmental Action Programme outlined the framework for environmental policy-making in the European Union for the period 2002-2012 and outlined actions that needed to be taken within 4 priority areas.
