The Environmental Protection Agency are working to make Denmark better equipped to deal with extreme weather events. Future climate changes mean that Denmark will experience more extreme weather. This will especially mean heavy downpours, rising sea levels, more storms and higher temperatures.

Through the Environmental Protection Agency, the Ministry is responsible for integrating adaptation to climate change into legislation and planning.

Danish municipalities are responsible for practical implementation of climate-change adaptation.
