Environmental risk and nanomaterials exposure

Environmental exposures and risks have mainly been addressed in one major general project. This project addressed 10 nanomaterials selected on the basis of their use volume or specific toxicity.

Measuring nanomaterials in the environment is difficult. Therefore in this major project, environmental exposures were predicted based on modelling.

Input parameters pertain to three areas; the application of nanomaterials leading to emission, the behaviour of nanomaterials in the environment (fate) and, finally, a series of assumptions necessary for modelling.
