Consumer risk and nanomaterials exposure

Reports on this page address consumer exposure and possible risks. Generally, risks are assessed by comparing the degree and severity of inherent hazards of a chemical with the estimated level of exposure to that same chemical.

Absorption

One key issue in risk assessment of nanomaterials is the degree to which the inherent properties of nanomaterials allow them to be absorbed by the body.
